Conferences and Workshops:
- Grace Hopper Conference: October 17, 2007 - October 20, 2007 in Orlando, FL
- Grad Cohort : The 2008 Grad Cohort will be held March 13-14, 2008 in Seattle, Washington.
Application deadline is December 12, 2007.
Topics covered at last year's grad cohort included: goals and survival skills, advisors and mentors, networking and professional interaction, navigating a technical meeting, finding academic year funding, having a career and a life, and more.
Scholarships/Fellowships/Internships:
- National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship: This is a three year fellowship for graduate students in the early stages of their graduate work (1st year) [Guidelines]. This award is $30,000/yr + $15,000 for tuition.
- The Google 2007 Anita Borg Scholarships: This is a $10,000 scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students who will be graduating in 2008. Application deadline: January 15, 2007.
- Computer Research Association's Distributed Mentor Project: A summer internship for women interested in learning more about graduate school. Learn about prior mentorship's from NCSU women: Sarah Smith (2003) and Neha Jain (2004).
