The mission of the Women in Computer Science (WICS) program is to:
Support, promote and retain women in computer science by providing opportunities for personal and professional development, social interaction, and outreach.
WICS is intended for students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals interested in computing.
In alignment with our mission, WICS events/activities are organized into three main categories including:
- Personal/Professional Development
- Social
- Outreach
There are two WICS mailing lists: wics and wics-announce. wics is a discussion list that is open for anyone to post to, while wics-announce is an announcement only list that only the president of WICS may post to. If you would like to join a WICS mailing list, there are two ways to join:
- Email mj2@lists.ncsu.edu with the line subscribe LISTNAME in the message body.
- Go to lists.ncsu.edu and join the list through their interface.
If you would like to unsubscribe from a WICS list:
- Email mj2@lists.ncsu.edu with the line unsubscribe LISTNAME in the message body.
- Go to lists.ncsu.edu and unsubscribe through their interface.

The Women in Computer Science (WICS) Program is continually seeking the support of alumni and corporations to help us achieve our mission.
There are several ways in which alumni and industry professionals can make a difference with WICS:

- Sponsoring Events/Activities
