About Us
Engineers' Council, also known as "E-Council," is the representative assembly for the engineering undergraduate student body. The council organizes and facilitates major events such as the Engineering Career Fair and Engineering Week. In addition, the council is responsible for appropriating funds for the other engineering organizations at NC State. Finally, E-council addresses the concerns of the undergraduate engineering student body.

All students are invited to attend our meetings every other Tuesday in Daniels 341 at 8PM. Check the calendar for exact dates.

Current Council Activities
The Engineers' Council is proud to state that the Spring 2009 Career Fair was a success. Over 245 companies and 4530 students attended the event on February 4th and 5th.

In addition, Engineers Week is coming up! The weeklong event of activities and lecture series will begin February 16th. Check out the website for the latest information about E-week and all the fun events. New this year is the green engineering series highlighting research happening at NC State, including the new FREEDM center, and a special presentation by Dr. DeSimone, named Tarheel of the year by the News and Observer in 2008.

Finally, the academic committee will soon be releasing the results of the Speak Your Noggin' Campaign (SYNC). Come back soon to find out about recommendations that your fellow students made.

Member at Large Opportunities

We are happy to announce that the Council is increasing its membership by making it open to all engineering students! Current positions available are Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Paper Science Engineering department reps, as well as member-at-large position. To become a member-at-large and gain voting rights, you must attend 5 general meetings, help out with E-week and the Career Fair, and be involved in a committee. Committee information can be found here.

E-Council is a great way to get involved around campus, gain hands-on leadership experience, and meet many other engineers at State!
