David Wright

David returned to NCSU in 1997 after a 19 year hiatus and completed a BS in Computer science in 2001, followed by a MS in Computer Science in 2003. He is currently a working on a PhD with Dr. Tom Honeycutt. David is a NCSU Research Ethics Junior Fellow, and in conjunction with the LANGURE project, has authored a draft module highlighting some of the key issues in the ethical conduct of research in computer science and engineering. This is David's second term as president of the Computer Science Graduate Student Association, and he hopes to build upon the momentum that was started last year to build a greater sense of community and union within the students, faculty, staff, and administration of the Computer Science Department at NCSU. Suzanne Balik
Suzanne Balik

Suzanne Balik is a PhD student interested in computer science theory and education as well as accessibility for the visually impaired. She has taught a number of undergraduate courses ranging from introductory programming to automata theory. You can find out more about Suzanne at her home page.

Arnav Jahala
Arnav Jahala

Arnav is a doctoral student in the computer science department at North Carolina State University (NCSU). He received his master's degree from NCSU in 2004. Sarah Smith
Sarah Smith

Sarah Heckman nee Smith is a second year PhD student working under Dr. Laurie Williams in the area of Software Engineering. She received her MCS and BS in Computer Science from NCSU in 2005 and 2004, respectively. Her research focuses on the ranking of static analysis alerts during the development process. She is Vice President of the Women in Computer Science (WICS) organization and an Officer-at-Large for the CSC GSA. She has an IBM PhD Fellowship for the 2006-2007 academic year. Wenhong (David) Tian
Wenhong (David) Tian

Wenhong Tian currently is a PhD student at department of
computer science. His research interests include dynamic analysis and design of communication networks, efficient algorithms development etc.

Marivic Bonto-Kane
Marivic Bonto-Kane

Marivic started her PhD program in Computer Science at NCSU in Fall, 2004. Before coming to NC State, she worked as the Lead Programmer for a DoD contractor working on the V22 tiltorotor aircraft based in Marine Corps Air Station, New River, NC. Previous to this, she worked as a Systems Analyst for Defense Automated Printing Services, a sub office of the DoD Defense Logistics Agency. She obtained her Masters in Computer Science from the State University of New York in Binghamton in 1998. Her research interests include, human performance modeling, human-machine/computer interaction and software and database applications development.
