Last year I was with the CSC GSA executive commitee and served under the leadership of fellow officers: David Wright, Suzanne Balik, Arnav Jahala, and Sarah Smith. It was a wonderful team and much was accomplished! The committee gave presence and visibility to the GSA by holding activities like: bi-weekly coffee socials, TA Training, Ask your DGS meetings, Halloween Costume Contest, Culture Shock video seminar, and the Intercultural Workshop. The activities all had direct relevance to the academic and social experiences of our graduate students. It was a great team!

This year we have a new batch of officers running who are just as driven and highly motivated! I am happy to say I am excited to once again run and participate with the CSC GSA committee especially when I can join and will be with this great group of new people!

I am running for Treasurer but my functions will be more than keeping us on track with our budget, etc. I will continue to participate in activities that directly concern our graduate students and more particularly the concerns of our very diverse, intercultural student body. I am happy to say the intercultural activities we held last year has the support of the officers running this year. You can be assured we will have similar activities and more -- given your suggestions and feedback.

So show you care and want to make a difference, vote for the officers that are driven, highly motivated and truly want to make a difference for their fellow graduate students!!!
