ACM/AITP welcomes all students to attend our meetings and events, regardless of whether or not they are a member. Should you be interested in receiving additional benefits, we offer three forms of membership: national ACM membership, national AITP membership, and local NCSU ACM/AITP membership

There will be NO local dues required to join the NCSU ACM/AITP in contrast to previous years. For national membership into ACM or AITP, dues will still be required.

When you join NCSU ACM/AITP, you automatically join both chapters.

You may print off an application and fill in the blanks, or there should be blank applications outside of 1211E Engineering Building II. You may also mail it to the address indicated on the form, but it will take longer for it to be processed. We can also take them during a scheduled meeting

Rates for national membership (optional):

• National ACM, as low as $19.00/year (Student Lite Package).
• National AITP, $35.00/year.

We STRONGLY encourage ALL computer scientists to join the national ACM chapter. ACM is the professional society for computer scientists, and provides access to a myriad of resources. Undergraduate students can benefit from the hundreds of free online training courses that are offered with ACM Membership. Graduate students can benefit from the ACM publication archives, accessing decades of research in various disciplines of computer science.

AITP membership is encouraged for non-CSC students. Students especially with majors in business management, finance or a high interest in IT are encouraged to apply. AITP dinners are held monthly with prominent figures (CIO's, CFO's, CTO's, CEO's, etc.) from many local technology companies. The dinner is free of charge and available to national AITP members. Please contact our ACM/AITP officers or our AITP Advisor for more information about this opportunity.

We welcome you to join the local NCSU ACM/AITP chapter and benefit from the many things it has to offfer:

• One-on-one resume critiques with hiring managers
• Job announcements not available ANYWHERE else!
• Personal connections with companies (be a person, not a resume number)!

• Game/Movie nights
• Annual trip (Virtual Reality Tour, Bowling, Laser Tag, etc.)
• Free prize raffles (ya know, things like iPods...)

• Programming competitions
• Volunteering for your school/community
• Help plan our AWESOME end of year cookout (Pig Pickin).

If you were a member last year and are no longer recieving e-mail announcements from us, be sure to renew your membership for this academic year by filling out another application!
